Delete your Anchor account
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Anchor is the visa status tracking app from Aruna Law Firm, for people on H-1B and F-1/OPT status. Use this page to ask us to delete your Anchor account and everything in it. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to sign in.
You can also do this inside the app, under You, then Delete account and documents. Both routes do the same thing.
What we delete
Your profile, your uploaded documents, the fields we read from them, your key dates, timeline events, flags, employment history, preferences, and notification tokens.
We keep no copy, and it cannot be recovered.
What we keep, and why
- Payment records. Records of payments are held by our payment processor, Stripe, which is required to retain them for tax and financial recordkeeping. The subscription record inside Anchor is deleted with your account. Stripe's own record of the transactions is not.
- Anything Aruna Law Firm holds as your law firm. If you are also a client of the firm, your legal file is separate from your app account and is kept under the rules that apply to client records. Deleting your Anchor account does not touch it.
How long it takes
We acknowledge your request within a few business days. Your account is then deleted 30 days after the request is confirmed. Nothing is removed during those 30 days.
You can change your mind at any point in those 30 days. Reply to our confirmation email, or sign back into the app and choose Keep my account.
Request deletion
Tell us the email address you used to sign up for Anchor. That is the only thing we need: Anchor has no usernames, and the address is how we find the account.
The button below opens an email in your own mail app, already addressed and written. Send it from the address on your Anchor account. Sending it from that mailbox is how we know the request is really yours, so we will not act on a request that arrives from anywhere else.
What we will never ask for
- Your password. No deletion request needs one. Never send it to us, and never type it into a page that asks for it in order to delete something.
- Documents, A-numbers, or your date of birth. We will not ask you to prove who you are with immigration documents. The email address on the account is enough.
